Canon Powershot S95 Test Shots

I don't have a Canon Powershot S95 because I'm poor. But I have yaman friends so I'm able to do some test shots using the unit.

The Powershot S95 is the latest high-end digicam by Canon. I've tried it's earlier version--the S90--and I think it's a good back-up cameras for professional photographers or even hobbyists. The sleek and beautiful camera could take HD videos and has an aperture of f/2.0. Probably an ideal unit for those people who want to take decent shots without carrying around heavy equipment.

Canon Photomarathon 2010 Philippines Registration

Ready your cameras (and your fast internet connections) on Monday, October 25 2010! The online registration for Canon Photomarathon Philippines 2010 will start at exactly 1:30pm. From experience, the slots get easily filled up and the site even crashes at some point (think Cebu Pacific promo fares) because every shutterbugs want to be included in this fun event!


Things you should know about the Canon Photomarathon Philippines 2010:

1. It will happen on November 6, 2010. The base center will be at SMX Convention Center, SM Central Business Park, Pasay City
2. Successful registrants must be at the SMX at 6:30am. It will be a whole day event, ending around 11:00pm.
3. Like last year's competition, there will be a DSLR AND Digicam category. Only Canon users may register for the event
4. REGISTRATION IS FREE. Heck, EVERYTHING IS ACTUALLY FREE--food, participant kit, venue. Woot! There will even be games and raffles at night. Last year, the photomarathon event was held at Tagaytay Convention Center and Canon Philippines even provided several tourist buses for the participants to use. Awwww, thanks Canon Marketing Phils. Inc.!!!

Paramore Live in Manila concert photos

Canon head office moves to McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig

To better serve its customers and partners, Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) has relocated to a new office at the seventh floor of Commerce and Industry Plaza, Campus corner Park Avenues, McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Along with the new head office, the Canon Business Imaging Solutions showroom has also moved to its bigger and better location at the first floor of the same building to improve the company’s services to its huge corporate clientele.

Winners of Canon PhotoMarathon Philippines 2009 announced

Around 600 photo hobbyists, both amateur and professional, flocked to Tagaytay Convention Center on November 14 for Canon Photomarathon Philippines 2009. Several bloggers were also present--not to cover--but to participate in the 4th leg of this much-awaited photography event.

The PhotoMarathon is an Asia-wide photo competition testing a photographer's creativity and skills. Participants are given a day to perform photography related tasks. Here in the country, no sign-up fee is collected. All successful registrants will be provided with free transportation, food, drinks, and loot bag.
