As the name implies, Outback's specialty is in its meat offerings. Steaks make up a good portion of the restaurants's menu. One of the highly recommended is the Beef Tenderloin with Mustard Demiglace and Bearnice. The taste, as its name, is a mouthful.
With this dish, you get 6oz of imported beef tenderloin medallion served on a bed of mustard demiglace and a side of pesto garlic mashed potato and oven-roasted vegetables. I requested mine to medium-rare and I'm happy how it was seasoned and seared to perfection. The mashed potato is an interesting addition--with the parmesan cheese like a cherry on top of an ice cream.
Outback's Beef Tenderloin is included in this year's roster of Manila Signature Dishes as selected by Unilever Food Solutions (UFS). The set comes with a soup of the day, Crispy Calamari Salad, and Castillero de Diablo Red Wine.
